Vehicle Rodent Cleanup

We assess and clean rodent contamination in vehicles, including heavy truck cabs, RVs and travel trailers. The work addresses nesting material, urine, droppings and persistent odours, with access and any component replacement planned for each vehicle.

In Nova Scotia, we can provide pest control as well as cleanup, decontamination and odour removal. Pest control is quoted and charged separately. When both are booked together, we may offer a reduced combined price, depending on the work.

We agree on the order of treatment and cleanup before starting. Outside Nova Scotia, pest control needs to be arranged with a local provider.

Heavy Truck Cabs

 

For heavy trucks, we review the cab and accessible sleeper areas, including storage compartments, floor coverings and ventilation inlets. Photos and the repair facility's findings help establish where contamination has been found and which components have already been removed.

 

The quote separates the cleanup from any dismantling, replacement or mechanical work needed to reach the affected area. Cleaning an exposed surface cannot account for waste or nesting material behind a panel that remains closed.

RV & Travel Trailers

 

RVs and travel trailers contain sleeping areas, cabinetry and enclosed service spaces. We review the accessible compartments, furnishings and the locations where rodent activity has been reported.

 

The work plan identifies what can be cleaned in place and what needs further access or replacement. Cushions, cabinet interiors and enclosed spaces may require different decisions. Any opening-up and subsequent repairs must be agreed before work begins.

Cleanup Process

 

We first review the pest-control status, the visible contamination and the proposed access. The agreed work may include waste removal, surface cleaning, disinfection and odour treatment where suitable.

 

CDC guidance recommends wetting rodent waste with disinfectant before collection to limit disturbance of contaminated dust. It also addresses removal of affected insulation and replacement of contaminated vehicle air filters. These are material-specific decisions, not a reason to treat every surface in the same way. Project Scope & Requests

 

Vehicle projects, including heavy truck cabs, RVs and travel trailers, are accepted through body shops, collision centres or insurance companies. Please send photos, the vehicle type, the affected locations and any pest-control or repair information available.

 

We review the request before confirming acceptance, access requirements and price. Cleanup alone does not repair rodent damage or prevent another infestation. In Nova Scotia, we can quote pest control separately. Vehicle repairs and work outside our agreed scope require separate arrangements.
