ScenoMS (SFMS1001) for Drug & Explosives Trace Detection

 

Rent a ScenoMS portable mass spectrometer for field screening of drug and explosive traces. Equipment rental is available to institutional clients whose personnel complete our equipment-use training. A Scenesafe operator can also be arranged at an additional charge.

This is our own-brand portable mass spectrometer, supplied by specialist manufacturing partners. We use it in our own field work. Hands-on testing, comparisons and research give us confidence in its accuracy, sensitivity and performance. We feed results and performance issues back to the suppliers and manufacturers to drive product improvements.

Rental Pricing

Three-day reference rental price: CA$2,000 per instrument.
Each additional calendar day: CA$550 per instrument.

The minimum rental period is three calendar days. Weekends and public holidays count toward the rental period. Outbound and return shipping time is excluded.

Initial equipment-use training is included in the three-day reference rental price. Sampling consumables must be purchased separately at CA$3.50 each.

Long-term rentals and operator services are quoted separately. Your rental agreement states whether a deposit is required and, if applicable, the amount and return conditions.

All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude tax. Shipping and long-distance travel charges are additional.

Training & Operator Options

When Scenesafe delivers the instrument, initial training takes place at the client's site. Training arrangements for distant locations are discussed separately.

Clients may operate the rented equipment after completing our training, or request a Scenesafe operator at an additional charge. Contact us to discuss the technical support available during your rental.

Delivery & Rental Areas

Our primary rental areas are Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. For larger rental projects elsewhere in Canada, contact us with the location, number of instruments and dates.

Scenesafe delivery may be arranged in selected areas. Other locations, including remote areas, require specialist logistics with declared-value coverage. Delivery methods and charges are confirmed for the destination.

Booking & Support

Please arrange your rental three weeks in advance so equipment delivery and initial training can be scheduled.

Include your organization, intended application, project location and requested rental dates when making an inquiry. Your written quote sets out the rental rate, operator availability, delivery, training and support arrangements.

Detection Scope

ScenoMS supports drug and explosives trace screening. The instrument's configured detection targets and suitability for your application are confirmed before rental.

Results show whether target substances are detected in the collected samples using the instrument's configured method. For post-cleaning checks, non-detect results document that target residues were not detected at or above that method's detection limits in those samples. The equipment is for environmental samples.
