Overview

Scenesafe combines its pest-control work with hands-on building restoration experience to provide paid rodent infestation inspections, investigations, contamination assessments and consultations for homes. We examine signs of activity, possible entry routes and affected insulation in walls, attics and crawl spaces, then provide written findings, a customized action plan and recommendations.

This service is for owners who know there is a problem but do not know where it starts or how far it extends. In our site work, we have repeatedly traced the problem to rodent activity within insulation, with contamination extending well beyond the first visible signs.

How Pest Control & Restoration Experience Connect

We look at both sides of the problem: how rodents get in and behave, and how the building’s construction can conceal activity and contamination. Our pest-control work and restoration experience help connect clues in walls, insulation, attics and crawl spaces.

Sometimes treating visible rodent activity alone leaves the source of recurring problems unresolved. Our investigation connects signs of activity with possible entry routes and affected building materials, so the plan can address the underlying causes and hidden contamination.

Visual Inspection & Camera Assessment

We start with a visual inspection of the reported areas and use an inspection camera to examine accessible wall cavities and other enclosed spaces. We look at signs of rodent activity, affected insulation and materials, and where further access is needed.

After the initial inspection, we explain any access limitations and recommend further investigation where needed. If access openings are required, you can arrange them with a contractor of your choice before a follow-up assessment.

Written Findings, Consultation & Custom Plan

We provide written findings describing the areas inspected, signs of rodent activity, affected materials, access limitations and any further assessment recommended. We discuss the findings with you and provide recommendations tailored to the property.

The customized plan sets out priorities, recommended actions and the order of work based on the findings. You can take each step to general contractors and choose the provider you consider the best value.

Planning and assessment requests are reviewed across Atlantic Canada. This paid service covers investigation, consultation and recommendations. Demolition and restoration are not included.
