The PDF contains the full sampling procedure, diagrams, cut-off values, result interpretation, storage instructions and limitations. Match the model number on your kit to SSCA-8003 before use.
Before you test
Store unopened kits at 2–30°C, protected from direct sunlight, moisture and heat. Check the expiry date and keep the foil pouch sealed until use.
For oral sampling, allow the device to reach 15–30°C. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew tobacco for 15 minutes before collection.
For surfaces, follow the PDF’s sampling procedure for an area of approximately 10 × 10 cm. Do not collect visible powder or liquid, and avoid overloading the sampling pad.
Reading the result
Keep the device flat and start timing when liquid migrates along both strips. Read the result at 5–10 minutes. Results read after 10 minutes are invalid.
Negative: both the control (C) line and test (T) line appear. A faint T line is still a negative result; repeat the test as directed in the instructions.
Presumptive positive: the control (C) line appears and the corresponding test (T) line does not appear.
Invalid: no control (C) line appears, regardless of the test line. Repeat with a new device.
Targets and nominal cut-offs
AMP 50; BZO 10; COC 20; FEN 2; MET 50; MOR 10; MTD 30; OXY 40 ng/mL. These are test cut-off concentrations, not surface contamination limits in ng/cm².
For forensic and research use by trained operators only, not medical diagnosis. Screening results are preliminary; use an appropriate confirmatory method such as LC-MS/MS or GC-MS/MS when confirmation is required. Read the full PDF before testing.
